Named ranges are the names provided to a range of cells. Named ranges are helpful in referencing a cell or the range in any part of an Excel worksheet. Descriptive names can be given to represent a cell, a range, a formula etc. Excel 2007 provides a facility to create 3-D names that represent the same cell or range of cells across multiple worksheets.
