How to add trendline to a chart?

Take the following steps to add trendline to a chart:

  1. Click on the chart. The Chart Tools, adding the Design, Layout, and Format tabs appears.
  2. On the Layout tab, in the Analysis group, click Trendline.

  4. Click More Trendline Options, and then in the Trendline Options category, under Trend/Regression Type, click the type of trendline. Select Moving Average and type the number of periods to use to calculate the moving average in the Period box.
